Terms of Service
Effective date: July 26, 2026 Last updated: July 26, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sound Studio Media, LLC, a limited liability company doing business as Northwest Live ("we," "us," "our"). They govern your use of our booking website at northwestlive.studio (the "Service"), where you can create an account, view studio availability, and book and pay for studio time and production services.
Please read these Terms carefully. By using the Service, you agree to them.
1. Acceptance and who may use the Service
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. If you're booking on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm you're authorized to do so.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate, current information when you create your account and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, so keep your sign-in method secure.
- Let us know promptly at contactus@northwestlive.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
3. Bookings, confirmation, and cancellations
- Booking. You can request available studio time and production packages through the Service. A booking is a request until we confirm it.
- Confirmation. Your booking is confirmed when we accept it and/or when payment (or a required deposit) is completed, and you receive confirmation. We may decline or cancel a booking if a slot becomes unavailable, if payment fails, or if a request violates these Terms.
- Cancellation and rescheduling. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours' notice before your session for a full credit or refund of any amount paid. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 48 hours' notice, or no-shows, may forfeit any deposit or the session fee. We'll always try to be reasonable about genuine emergencies.
- We may reschedule or cancel a session due to equipment issues, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control; if we do, you'll be offered a reschedule or a refund of amounts paid for that session.
4. Payments and refunds
- Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by Square; by paying, you also agree to Square's applicable terms. We don't store your full card number.
- Payment or a deposit may be required to confirm a booking.
- Refunds. Refunds follow the cancellation policy in Section 3. Studio time and production services are provided for you specifically, so once a session has been delivered it is generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where we've agreed otherwise in writing. If you're unhappy with a session, contact us at contactus@northwestlive.com and we'll try to make it right.
5. Acceptable use and studio conduct
When using the Service and while at the studio, you agree to:
- follow our reasonable studio rules, safety instructions, and staff directions;
- treat staff, equipment, and the space with care — you're responsible for damage you or your guests cause beyond normal use;
- not use the studio or Service for anything illegal, or to create content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights; and
- not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
We may suspend or end your access, or a session, if you break these rules.
6. Intellectual property
- Your content. You (or your collaborators) own the recordings, tracks, videos, podcasts, and other creative work you create during your booked sessions ("Your Content"), subject to your paying the amounts due for the session. We don't claim ownership of Your Content. If we'd ever like to feature a sample of your work as a portfolio example or for promotion, we'll ask your permission first.
- Our content. The Service itself — the website, its design, text, logos, and software — belongs to us or our providers and is protected by law. Please don't copy, resell, or reuse it except as needed to use the Service normally.
- Files and masters. We're not a long-term backup service. Please download and back up Your Content promptly; we may remove session files from our systems after a reasonable period.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The Service and our production services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to deliver quality work and keep the site running, but we don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, Northwest Live Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost content.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service or a session is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking that the claim relates to.
- Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that can't be limited under applicable law, including Washington consumer-protection law.
8. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If a dispute comes up, let's try to resolve it informally first — email contactus@northwestlive.com and we'll make a genuine effort to work it out. If we can't, the dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you and we agree to that venue.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will apply going forward, and your continued use of the Service after they take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
